Making choices and decisions is part of our daily life. Have you considered how you make them?
An energy centre in our body called the third eye chakra is located above and in-between the eyebrows. This is commonly thought of as the only place for our ability to know what to do as we make choices throughout the day, and in our life as a whole.
We do, however, have another place in the body to aid in the decision making process; the solar plexus chakra. This area is located in the area of the stomach just above the belly button. This is where our gut instinct resides.
The interesting fact about this area of our body is that we tend to grip here and hold ourselves tightly. We take shallow breaths that restrict the flow to this place of personal power. When this area is imbalanced we might hold back with taking action and be timid in our expression. In balance we have the courage to act, and are filled with confidence and self-esteem.
By bringing the breath more deeply into the solar plexus chakra and allowing the belly to expand as you inhale will loosen up the tightness and allow for expansion.
Try these two exercises the next time you are pondering a decision:
- Ask yourself – which decision takes me further along my path, and which decision takes me further away from it?
- Imagine both scenarios in as much detail as you can. Take yourself through each one in turn and tune in to how your body responds. Do you sense a feeling of lightness, excitement and joy? Or do you feel your stomach begin to churn or get tight? When you decide which way feels right to you, then you simply take one step at a time. Making a list and clearly visualizing your future can be a powerful way to make your scenario real and manifest in your life.
Trust in your inner guidance. It will always be faithful, always be true, and always guide you along your true path. The more you connect with yourself the more you are able to access the knowledge that you hold.
I wish you abundant fall season filled with much love, passion and adventure. As always I am here to support you in this life journey – and welcome your feedback.
