Ahhh…inspired love. There is nothing like the love and support of someone who has your back. It might be a friend, partner, co-worker or boss, and you just know they “get you”. No matter what comes up, the relationship stays solid.
This kind of solid grounded
place gives us wings to fly.
And where might those wings take us? Well, often one partner might be going to school while the other one holds down the fort. One parent might be more responsible for the activities of the children while one is furthering their profession. Someone might move back home while they revamp their career.
The knowledge that one can pursue their dreams without a worry is a precious gift indeed. The love and support truly provides those amazing wings we need for the flight.
Think of the “first love” feelings: your step feels lighter, colours look brighter, and life seems easier somehow. You feel powerful and truly inspired. Inspired love helps us dream and visualize beyond our normal everyday thoughts. These unlimited aspirations give us permission to soar the dizzying heights of our imagination. Isn’t part of living life fully about allowing ourselves to move beyond the everyday – beyond our perceived limits and test the waters of the unknown? To languish in the pools of uncertainty as we explore and move with the tides of change in our mind and heart.
And the most important love of all is: loving yourself first. When your love well is full
that is when you can love more fully and completely. Authentic self-love fills the well to overflowing – then we have this gift to offer. We offer love from our overflow to support and inspire others.
This quote will set your inspired love and passion on fire:
“They say a good love is one that sits you down,
gives you a drink of water, and pats you on top of the head.
But I say a good love is one that casts you into the wind, sets you ablaze,
makes you burn through the skies and ignite the night like a phoenix;
the kind that cuts you loose like a wildfire and you can’t stop running
simply because you keep on burning everything that you touch!
I say that’s a good love; one that burns and flies, and you run with it!”
― C. JoyBell C.
The love and passion between Elizabeth Barrett Browning & Robert Browning so intrigued me in high school I wrote a paper about them. Their letters are the most concise record
of a love affair to date. Their deep abiding love inspired some of the most amazing love letters in history. I read them and internally sigh. Is that kind of love for all of us or just some of us? Or do we settle for what is easy and convenient? Our souls begin to shrivel and we slowly forget ourselves if we do not fuel the fires of desire and love that exists in
all of us, not just in some of us.
So…my point this week is…find that inspired love within yourself, or cherish in the love with another – and let yourself soar!
And one last thought:
“I love you not because of who you are,
but because of who I am when I am with you.”
— Roy Croft
