You may have never referred to your body as a temple – but it really is. The millions of functions it performs for us every second to keep us alive is incredible. The way we take care of our temple is very important.
Your body knows how to heal itself. This innate biological intelligence knows how to heal cuts, broken bones and colds. It therefore, knows how to take care of anything that comes its way. However, sometimes we need to nurture and encourage this self-healing aspect of our bodies.
One of the ways we can begin to heal our bodies is by loving and embracing it – exactly the way it is right now. Being upset or resenting the body is not the way to reach optimum health. But this is often what occurs when we can’t lose weight, our wrinkles start to show or we are diagnosed with ‘something’ that scares us. We begin to dislike our body temple.
We cannot hate something and heal it at the same time.
The cells in your body are extremely wise and aware of every single one of your thoughts and feelings. Since we reproduce cells 24 hours a day / 7 days a week it is important we send loving messages to those cells, so that all new cells are produced in alignment with good health.
You get to choose your thoughts – ones that support wellness or ones that support illness. Talking about an illness frequently reinforces the dis-ease pattern in the body. We want to shift our thoughts and conversations to those of healing. It is a way of taking your power back, instead of feeling like a helpless victim.
We want to create a healthy atmosphere both inside and out. Whatever is going on inside of us directly affects how we look, how we age, how efficiently our body can move.
Feeding the body temple well with high vibration foods, sleeping well, exercising, spending time with loved ones, giving back to our community are all ways to create a happy healthy body temple.
